I was bored on a winter Sunday and decided I wanted to game a bit, some of my friends have prevoiusly said that Tera was fun, so I decided that it was worth a try.
Since GameForge dont provide a native linux client (BAD Gameforge!) We have to install Tera Online using PlayOnLinux.
Fire op PlayOnLinux and click on install (obviously)
Install menu

Now, just follow the guide and click through the steps
installingTeraWine2

When this is done, Tera online will start downloading the exe file needed to install the game.
installingTeraWine4

Now we need to install d3dx9 xact xinput, press on “configure” in PlayOnLinux and then on “install components” and find these 3 entries.
D3dx9, xact, xinput, ie6, msls31
now download this TERA_Wine_Fix.zip and put it inside wines C:/Program Files/TERA/Client/
Open up Tera Online now, we will see the game crash before there’s a chance to login, this is because we need a certificate in order to communicate with the server.

We need to open up our terminal now and insert the certificate into our certificate folder.
Create the directorys if they are not there.
cd /usr/local/share/
also do this in the same terminal window:
mkdir ca-certificates

now create a text file in your home directory and insert this:

-----END CERTIFICATE-----

I used nano in this case: then I copy the certificate into my ca-certificates folder

nanoThawte2 <
sudo cp /home/cloned/Thawte_CS_CA_G2.crt /usr/local/share/ca-certificates/Thawte_CS_CA_G2.crt

Next up we need to cd into the certificate directory again
cd /usr/share/ca-certificates/custom

and now we need to change the executing rules of the folder by executing

sudo update-ca-certificates
update-ca-certificates
that it, now you should be able to install Tera Online on Linux

In my case, the certificate was added just fine, but game still crashes upon login. Any ideas?

Actually, I’ll better paste how it looked like, because it is kind of wierd (at least to an unexperienced eye)
