This time we will be trying to integrate Phpmyadmin with Nginx and MariaDB. We are using Arch Linux since its my preferred distribution, but all of these commands are not very specific to the distribution you choose to work with. PhpMyAdmin is one of the most famous tools for managing the MySQL database, and is…
operating system for the XAMPP
This task was a bit more troublesom than initially thought. I was having a lot of trouble with the XAMPP server on the debian distro i started off with. After a lot of tinkering i finally decided to toss the debian install in the paperbin.
Next up as the choice of operating system for the XAMPP server was a LMDE version of Linux mint. After the installation, I downloaded xampp, installed it and started it up. Everything worked fine exepct 1 error about security, this seem to be a problem with XAMPP 1.8.1. I had to edit a line in httpd.conf to allow my machine to access the XAMPP control panel.
After that i changed the password for the SQL database and was good to go. This is how the network looked when it was done as of writing :
The router in the picture is a virtual OpenWRT router connected with a bridge on the WAN port and a internal network on the “internal” NIC. The router handels DHCP and everything else on the network. The upper computer is a XAMPP linux mint machine and the lowest computer is a windows XP machine that will function as the “victum”
Will post more when I got more to show.
